We are thrilled to have just been consigned this MBE medal group to a fascinating gentleman for our 21st May sale : - Sir Roger Sewell Bacon MBE was a British judge who served as a young Cheshire regiment officer in the Great war before being called to the bar in 1923.  He received the MBE in 1943 for his service as a legal advisor to the War Office. In 1946 he became the Lord Chief Justice of Gibraltar.
