1st July 1916 Somme casualty group to 6366 Private George Jones of the South Wales Borderers born 1893 & enlisted 29th September 1899. Put on Army reserve list 14th March 1907 then re engaged 29th September 1911. Mobilised 5th August 1914 & sent to France 31st August 1914. Wounded right thigh 31st October 1914 then on 1st July 1916 First day of Somme offensive gunshot wound left hand & shell shock. Discharged: 21 September 1917 . Lived Forestfach, Swansea.
